The well stocked bar offers a range of traditional hand pulled cask ales, as well as a selection of lagers and ciders. Butcombe Bitter is our permanent (local) ale and we offer a selection of guest ales which change regularly.

Made with 100% best Maris Otter malt (the Rolls Royce of malts) together with a blend of (never divulged) English hop varieties… Butcombe Bitter is a moreish Mendip masterpiece!”

Ghost Ship 4.5% abv
This is Nicks personal favourite, after Karen of course, so it does tend to be available a bit more than the others!
At 4.5% abv, this Pale Ale has a good assertive pithy bitterness and a malty backbone. It is brewed with a selection of malts – Pale Ale, Rye Crystal and Cara – Adnams use Citra, and a blend of other American hop varieties to create some great citrus flavours.
Otter Amber 4.0% abv
This is truly amber in colour, with a careful selection of traditionally malted barley and hops delivering a balanced, fruity, citrus flavour and soft, hoppy aftertaste. Hops used: Northern Brewer, Styrian Goldings, and Willamette.
