First and foremost, think "back to nature”…. Think rolling hills, green grass, mooing cows, clucking chickens, fresh air – If that sounds like your kind of idyll then read on. If you are looking for a perfectly manicured and marked out pitch, electric hook ups and constant hot water then we are probably not the campsite for you.
The campsite is attached to the back of the pub grounds and situated in real countryside with fabulous views. The field is flat, private and enclosed and well maintained. There is a tap and sink for fresh drinking water and a famous cold water bush shower (great on a warm day and positively invigorating on a chilly morning!). There is also a temporary toilet for when the pub loos are shut overnight. We allow campfires in our portable firepits (supplied foc). The campsite is suitable for tents and small camper vans – we aren’t really suited to the large "gin palace” type motorhome. Our charges reflect that we are a basic, rustic and rural campsite where children run around freely having fun. We are very dog friendly but we do ask that you keep them on a lead and clean up promptly after them. There are many beautiful walks from the campsite that your family and canine friends will love to explore.
We now have a selection of camping supplies in the bar, you can view the price list by clicking here.
Electric hook-ups are available on a first come first connected basis. If you know you want a hook-up please call to let us know so we can reserve you a pitch.
